Next step is to shoot at 200, then see if the groups are repeatable. At that point I'll agree it's awesome.

I would think that they should work fine on thin skinned game (pronghorn, deer, black bear, etc.). They should consider that their "hunting" VLD.

I worked up to 65.5 7828SSC this weekend with the 140 Accubond. Velocity was just over 3200fps, accuracy was sub MOA.
WHOA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tried 64.0grns of 7828SSC and this girl shot a .569 four shot group @ 100yrds WILL verify this load and proceed up to 65.5 to see what she does, battery on chrono died on me hopefully she's running close or over 3150fps.........if so I'm done!!!!!!!!!!

C.I.P. loading pressures for the 264WM are on the low side.I guess they had problems.Check in the VihtVouri #3,(the one with the hunter on the hillside). So it's worthwhile chronying the factory. I ran into a bunch of Balkin brass with small flash holes in 6.5x55 and pulled out a pin in a Lee die.

I started loading my own ammo pretty happy. I thought it would be more complicated. Right now working on two loads using 140 grain Berger vld hunting bullet. The first is US869 the second is with Retumbo. Seems like US869 is faster and tighter groups so far. I'm at 72 grains and got 2,909 fps and 1/4 groups. Retumbo 66 grains at 2,880fps and groups are 1" groups. No pressure signs. Ill continue to post

Did you have the opportunity to run it over a chronograph?

I sure appreciate all your guy's input. I am having to work up a new load for mine and went out and tested some 7828 today and have discovered that 65.5gr behind a 140gr NBT is enough in my rifle. Starting to show a little cratering on the primers but still had normal bolt lift. Winds blowing to hard to test any accuracy today but I've got a starting point. Think I'll see if I can get a group with 64 grains and play with OAL. Will also take my Chrony out next time and see what kind of velocity in getting.
