Have a batch of loads I want to pull. Do I need to resize anything or can I simply recharge and reseat the bullet after pulling and dumping powder(using RCBS collet puller)? Noticed on Ramshot's website that the .300 WSM loads have been updated for Hunter and the new max load for 180s is 4 grains lower than the old starting load. Now, I have a bunch of loads that I was planning on tested that need pulled.

If they aren't crimped, I don't think it would make much difference, if any, and I never do. If you did, maybe you could just neck size to keep from decapping live primers. Of course, you could pop them off in your rifle.

when the bullets release the neck expands and needs resized. That's been my experience also. I tried seating bullets without resizing and some had a loose fit. When I pull bullets now, I resize the case. Besides, even if it is not needed, what can it hurt? At least I know the neck size is back to spec before I seat new bullets. It gives me peace of mind and really doesn't take that long to do it. My two cents... -Bob F.

Put me in with the guys that say "yes". The few times I've done it the case neck seems too loose to reseat new bullets.

take out the decapper pin and neck size only and you'll have no worries.
oh yea don't forget to check OAL of the case after necksizing to make sure you don't have to trim.
Whatever you are willing to put up with, is exactly what you will have.
When your ship comes in. ... make sure you are willing to unload it.
PAYPAL, sucks and I will never use them again. I recommend you do the same.

What "Blammer" said... +1 But you don't have to "take out" the decapping pin... just back it out several turns (enough so it won't decap the new primer as you neck size the cartridge) and only neck size about 4/5ths. of the neck in order to hold the bullet securely. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Strength & Honor...
