What's the word on these?

I've got an AR-15 that goes to the range maybe 3-4 times a year and I'm looking for something clear, small, lite, reliable and cheap. I was thinking this scope might fill my needs.

Decent scope but no parallax adjustment.
Had on on an AR but sold it as under 100 yards it had too much parallax and a very small FOV.
Now have a Leupold M8 6X AO or a K1. No problem at indoor ranges or as far out as a 223 will work. Photo of AR (carbon fiber) with K1, laser and light. Still weighs a lot less than a naked all metal one.

TC1,

I have one (Bushnell Elite 3200 10x40 MilDot) and despite the lack of parallax adjustment find it works just fine thank you on my 223 here:

Scope is SKU#321040M Mil-Dot w/80MOA 1/4"adjustments, 11' FOV @ 100 yds, 15.5oz, factory-set parallax-free at 100 yards.

Good article on parallax in riflescopes: http://www.6mmbr.com/parallax.html

You are correct, it is "on @ 100 yards" but closer or farther it is not. Almost all quality, fixed power 10X and up scopes have a parallax adjustment, even this 60 year old Unertl (a far superior scope).

I have one on my AR, and so far so good. I only notice the parallax issues at shorter ranges (less than 100). Seems fine for longer ranges, and I like the turrets.

I have owned several of them ,there worth $100 to $125 in my opinion. They have really good turrets but the glass is not all that great.I like them for shooting steel at longer ranges but there there not much for precision shooting.I always end up selling them ,they just dont do it for me.

For a range toy it should be fine if you are shooting at 100+ yards.

I had one on an AR for a short while but I didn't care for it inside 100 yards it gets a bit blurry, and FOV kind of small.

I use the scope on a long range 308 boltgun now. It's fine in that role.

I bought one a while back when they were on sale cause the new 1/10 mo turrets were coming. I find the glass to be pretty darn clear and the reputation when I did an internet search seemed real reliable.
I got mine I think for well under $200 at the time.
My only complaint is that it had alot of parralax at 200 yds where I do most my load testing. Isent it in and they quickly took care of it.
So I think I got a great scope for the $$.
I have 4 jap built wby's from 257-340 they all have leu qr mounts and I use this scope to bounce around between them when I play with new loads or tinker with known good ones so it's had a little "banging" on it and has worked perfectly.

I have a couple of them and think that they are a good scope for the price, but I don't think that they are particularly "small" or "lite" and would agree that they are more useful out beyond 200 yards than they are under 100 yards.

I'm happy with mine, 1 mounted on a very accurate 260 and the other on an equally accurate 223, but it would be, for me, too big (physically) and too much magnification for any of my AR-15 applications.

I have a Leupold 2-7x33 with a turkey plex reticle on my Sportical and like it for the size, weight, and the magnification options.

That would be an abortion on an AR-15.

I haven't had any parallax issues with the Bushnell 10X out to 1200 yards. Consistent eye placement is all it takes. If you pull your eye back just enough to check that you are centered in the fuzzy ring, you are good to go.

For many years the USMC M40A1 sniper rifle had a fixed 10X without parallax control. They did quite well with it. It was made by Unertl too, the MST-100 I believe is the model.
