I've seen a few red dots on bolt guns setup for brush / limited ranges.
What would be a good / best mount setup to switch between a red dot and normal scope? Does anyone make quick detach talley mounts for red dots? Should I just plan on using Warne bases and rings since all red dots are Weaver or Picatinny compatible?
Thanks, QD

Weaver bases and Weaver QD rings. KISS
Hey NSAQAM, Larry is very "IN", LOL You also dishonor the 28th division by using the unit patch as an insult. As for the liar, welcher Bricktop, his day is fast approaching. Coward trolls won't accept PMs. How's the phantom "campfire" coming ?

Which red dot is the question.
Aimpoints for example-most of their models are 30mm tube size and there are many QD heavy duty rings for them for a picitiny or weaver base.
There are a few red dots with 1 inch tube size so any fixed or QD weaver style rings would work with a weaver base.

Yes! That's what I'm talking about, but I want something with quick release mounts.

The Z-point has a quick release mount built in. It seems to work well but I have just been toying with it.
Cheers,

Its a trijicon RMR with an American Defense QD mount for it. Can swap to a scope in just a few seconds. Its gonna be my ultralight bear hunting rig. Throwing a 220 grain bullet 2700+ fps ought to do the trick me thinks
