I have a Lone Wolf 6" compensated tube on my G 20 SF
No need for a .40.
I just load my .10's to Short and Weak loads
Great practice rounds and I don't need to chase brase all over BFE
And no need to sort a different " caliber"

Nice photo in that last post, Magnum.
What kind of velocity increases do you see using that 6" tube in the G20?
I mean, I realize it would vary by load, but you surely realize some advantage going with the additional 1.4" over the standard barrel??

The hotter the load, the more velocity increase I see. I haven't chrono'd Underwood's 200gr/1250fps load yet. I did however chrono the original Norma load which was 200gr/1200fps, and on average I was getting 1300fps. So, for the high intensity loads with heavier bullets I get about another 100fps. I'll have to try some of those 135gr loads that are screaming out of the barrel and compare my 6" barrel to the standard barrel.

Pretty impressive.
Sounds like a 6" barrel is worth the $$$.

I thought so. I never bought one before because modifying a duty weapon was considered a no-no. If one had to shoot another person on-duty or off-duty you would have enough problems in the judicial system without adding to them by shooting someone with a modified weapon (just another area to attack your professionalism and credibility, and BIG area at that).
