I currently have a Brno 22F, a Brno ZKK, and a factory FN Supreme - all in 7x57 and all extremely accurate. I use the ZKK the most anymore. I have a Winchester Classic in .280 as well, but lately it just sits in the safe.

That's just about what my pre-64 Model 70 7x57 project--if I go through with it--will look like. Nice rifle!

FN made in 1934 for the Venezuelan military, LR 98 action in 7x57, re-barreled with Douglas barrel, new bottom metal, 2 position M70 style safety, Dayton Traister trigger, Conetrol mounts with a custom rear base, old Herter's "gunsmith special" stock done by a klutz (me).

Carried a lot, shot some, named "old meat and potatoes" because for many years never failed to kill a deer I shot at until I hit one running at over 200 yards and it got away into private land with no access.

Now over 40 years old in its current form and it still works (shot an antelope doe last year with it).

7 lbs. 11 oz. with old Leupold Vari-X II 2-7 scope. Now days I have a couple of nicer looking rifles but this is the last rifle I will ever part with.

Woodleigh 175 PPSN. Full penetration.

Lol ....the jockey got away, about 130 years ago .... The original Camels brought to Australia came with their Afghan handlers and were instrumental in helping to open up the interior of Australia . With mechanisation the camels were released and feral numbers are now approx 2 million+. I have to drive 1,700km one way to shoot them.

I think they are talking about numbers doubling every year with the recent La Nina pattern, warm Indian Ocean and Timor Sea leading to increased rainfalls. I hate the buggers - they stink (camels that is, not the Afghans - OK, sometimes the Afghans). The neighbours used to keep camels for some unknown reason and they kept on spitting at me.

You talk to folks on some of the properties really outback and they talk about going out with big 338 mags to go varmint shooting - for camels!

I'm still hoping they decide to release african elephants up in the top end - that really would make things interesting! And then we could release something to control the elephants. Then reintroduce moose to New Zealand, and then add some grizzlys. Then we would be set.
