The Dakotas are gorgeous but a tad pricey-so I got me a Kimber.

What comes between a Kimber 84M and a Dakota 76, other than a Cooper?

Serengetti rifles have given me a boner for a long time, but are even more than Dakotas.

Hill country rifles are nice too and generally not much more money than a Kimber.

Weatherby Mark V Deluxe and Ultramark, Winchester's special editions above the Super Grade, Kimber SuperAmerica, Montana Rifle Company was supposed to be in the business of making noncustom rifles, not sure what happened to those.

But once you're now in the $2Kish ballpark, I'd say it's time to start thinking about doing your own or buying someone else's pre loved Mausers

I would think a Model 70 Supergrade would fit the bill quite nicely. Don't own one but from what I've heard and read they don't play second fiddle to much of anything.
