I know you guys will have fun with this. This was almost a Darwin Award.

I just had to share this. I don't usually do much general gunsmithing anymore but once in a while a job will perk my curiosity. This came in stating it had 2 bullets stuck in it. I had a feeling there was more and I was too curious to pass it up. The barrel was swelled so bad there was no pushing this mess out so we had to resort to milling the barrel free.

This is what can happen if you set the cylinder gap too large on a Dan Wesson. He said it was making quite a flash around the cylinder. I bet it was.

Surprisingly he didn't sprain his wrist holding all that up before blowing his face off.

Years ago a Maryland Gunworks Ltd. we had a customer bring in a Ruger Blackhawk in 30 Carbine. He said he knew he had a "squib" and putthe gun away. His son came home later and took the gun out and proceded to stack 5 behind the one his dad had already put in the barrel. We milled the side off of the barrel and kept it on the front counter as a display.

Eleven. That means he reloaded at least once, unless he went through a whole box full and they were popping out the end of the barrel like Pez candy from a dispenser and the only reason he stopped was because he ran out of ammo. And you say nobody should be denied the right to own a gun? I agree, but right there is one guy that needs to be re-evaluated!

Man!!! This thing won't hit the broad side of a barn from inside! smile

Years ago, there was an article in a Navy safety magazine that showed the muzzle and forcing cone of a 4", military S&W Model 10 that I think had six bullets lodged in the barrel similar to this. I think they pinned on a weak lot of ammo. No s--t Sherlock!

But eleven .357's? That IS amazing.
