If you do the whole carved wilderness mural in the stock, you absolutely HAVE to get a leather padded sling with similar design work, including your name.

It does work for me, either.

Tea is not staining it dark enough.

I have read that potassium permanganate dissolves purple but stains ivory brown.

I have used it on moose antlers. Never on ivory but it makes a nice walnut color on bone.
