The 110 gr Accubond with Rel 22 is my go to load in my 25-06.
A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

I don't care how big deer get, they aren't armor plated and they don't absorb bullets like the Terminator.

It is not that the deer are "tough", but even a well-hit deer will often run a good distance before it dies. If you are in thick cover or shooting just before sundown it makes finding "tracking" the deer much more difficult if there is no exit and hopefully a bloodtrail to follow.

That's why I use bullets that break bone. Knock out his front running gear and clip the bottom of his spine.
Use a high shoulder and They go nowhere.
If you dump them in the lungs they usually will run no matter what bullet you use...Mature bucks anyway.
The best compromise of penetration/expansion I have found in the 25-06 is the old tried & true 120 grain Nosler Partition.
I've shot more than alot of Russian boar the same way and get the same result. It puts them in park as well.
