Getting close now, folks!

I'm really looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones!

CCCC or Ken, any update on the rain situation?

Ed

A light sprinkle here every day or so.

Enough yesterday to leave the eave gutter pouring and puddles in the street.

Paul (CCCC) is a lot closer to the lake and at a higher elevation than I am. The situation there might be significantly different, but at least we're getting a bit of rain in the area now 'n' then.

Good rain right now, with good wind!

And a nice 63 outside! (Not that cool inside yet.)

No sweat! (Good thing the parade is long over.)

Don't know how long it'll last, but it sure looks good now! laugh

Thats the best news I've heard all week. Not only for our plans, but for the fires and the hunting this fall!

Sorry I couldn't make it. A little setback with knee replacement due to overtraining vetoed the scooter ride out there. Was looking forward to meeting some of you guys.

Safe trips home to ya'll and next time...

Well, the forest is once again quiet although more than a bit heavier with lead, the coatimundis are scurrying around looking for action, the campsite is clean and all of the guys who made this weekend great are on their way or maybe even home. Travel safely, especially to those who will drive for a couple of days.

This was one fine group even though a few excellent folks and proven veterans were not able to get to the event as intended. Even in the big enjoyment, we missed them noticeably.

Will offer no opinions, analysis or overview - leaving that to those who traveled from near and far. Was way too busy to use a camera, but others did well and some memorable photos should appear soon.

Maybe time to start a NEW thread which reports on the gathering.

Paul, we should start a new thread for the photos. No point in wading through all these pages.

I made it home with only a a shower in Showlow only to find that we were nearly flooded out at the house. My rain gauge showed 2"+ which was sorely needed!

Drive home was without fanfare, hope everyone else made/makes it home safely. Some of you folks drove a long ways!

Dennis

Send the rain our way.

Glad to meet everyone.

I agree, a new thread for pictures would be great. I'm sure there will be some wonderful comments about the pictures.

Stephen and I made it home just fine. We got on heck of hose down in the grasslands before Springerville. We got some pretty decent storm pics that navigator/photographer took. :grin;:

We had a great trip as expected, and I want thank all you guys for being SO good to Stephen. It was really great, and he loved meeting you all. He hasn't stopped telling Brandy about HIS new friends.

Thanks again guys! I will get some picsnup tomorrow, but I don't have any from around camp.

Tom,

It was great to see you again, and a real treat to meet your son.

You are doing a great job raising him and it shows! He (and you grin ) are welcome at any camp I'm at.

Thanks again for that great pulled pork!

Ed

That would be a neat companion to my 1894CL! Are you going to buy it and give it to me for my birthday? laugh

If I had made it, I'd have brought my Marlin 1894 takedown, and the Bisley - both 32-20's.
Wish I coulda!
