The Litehunter is S30V and Honduran Rosewood Burl with Stainless Mosaic Pins, I did 'swither' about Desert Ironwood, but as I had a matched pair of custom knives built last year with DI scales I decided to go with something just a little different. By the look of the picture I shall not be disappointed. Thanks to everyone for the feedback and alternative ideas, which all conspire to keep me poor.

You nailed it. That knife was ordered as "a #7 with a blade shaped like the #1 Semi in S35VN." It's awesome. I did a cow elk with it a week or two after it came in. You're going to love that #7!!! IME more people comment on my 7's as being traditional hunting knives than any other model. Even a Dozier fan could love it...  DO post pics,,, I agree the #7 is a great all-around design. It balances very well.

(I had 2 Yukon Pro Variants before it.) Yukon Pro blade with less belly and more point, .125" vs .135" stock, and a Straight Hunter handle...best pure skinner I've ever used...and that would be a few...

I was using my phone to post yesterday and both those knives looked great. Today, on my retina display, I gotta say they are WAY BETTER than great! Congrats both...
You can no more tell someone how to do something you've never done, than you can come back from somewhere you've never been...
