Guys,I'm after a new sling to match the Proveil: Reaper Buck camo stock fitted to my Rem700 .308. A sling in Reaper Buck camo would be nice but I cant seem to find one.

Any recommendations or sling pics would be appreciated.

Well if it was me, I would get a 1907 sling in black, it would match your barrel and scope.

I only use Montana slings so it would be a black 1" Montana for me.

I use one sling and one sling only for the past 7 years.
Most comfortable ever.

Best sling available! Timber Butte Outdoors- Outlaw Sling

They have a pattern that very closely matches that pattern. And nothing carries a rifle like one of these slings.

I'll endorse the Montana; simple and effective, most of mine are tan, here is one in black.

I use the Montana sling on my wood-stocked rifles, and the Mountain sling on my very few synthetic-stocked rifles. I find both are excellent.

I have been rather pleased with the Murray A-1 quick set. It's lighter than the Montana and the leather is thinner and more supple. He will make other than standard length slings for odd rifles.

These are handmade by a really decent guy. He makes them with a swivel option too.

Yes, the Montana is a premium sling but I run mine with the adjuster on the butt end so that there is a single strap over the shoulder with no chance that the adjuster "knot" will be on the top of my shoulder. Best grade leather and will last several lifetimes.

I've used a lot of slings over the last fifty years. I like Brownells "Latigo" sling and used them for years, but recently switched to Andy's Leather "Standard Sling". Great quality and I like the way it adjusts. I just checked their web site, and it's now called the "Rhodesian". Not cheap, but I do like it.

op - ask yourself if you will use the sling as a true sling, as in using it to stabilize your rifle in different shooting situations. or, will you use the sling just for carrying the rifle to/from a point. if used as a carrying strap, something wide at the top (shoulder area) and softer will most likely be more comfortable during the carry. if your going to actually get into the sling, it's hard to beat either a montana or several other brands. good luck in your search.
