Then you must not be cooking it right -

we braise it, and then add wine, olive oil, and oregano - that's how they cook it in Greece anyway and it's pretty darn good. Add some onions, S&P, of course

The wife makes fries and serves the rabbit on top of them so they soak up the juices
awesome good.

Quite possible. Rabbits smell bad just dressing them. Maybe that's part of it too.
