I hear that the slim forend of the McMillan Hunter will pretty well be slammed full if going with a #4. I'd push it back to a #3 if it were mine. If you are wanting to go with a heavier rifle, as it seems that way since you are mentioning a big NF scope and #4 contour, then I would go with something other than the McMillan Hunter. Too many of your parts choices are conflicting in my book.

I agree that the NF will be a tank on a hunting rig, but think the New McM Hunter will do fine on a #4 Rock. I had my Hunter done for a #4 Rock and while it is slim, it seems to have plenty of stock left for a decent look:
