Thundered and lighting all night here. 1.6" of rain so far. Plover, which is 5 miles South had 2.75" and some areas received 3". Hope it's dry up by Dave so he can get his slab poured.

wow, dave starting his own business! that is awesome, ive been off the fire' for a bit trying to keep this nuke plant up and running (the sheer stupidity of "smart" people is unbelievable), all while trying to sell my house and buy the new 3000sqft future home of all my shoulder mounts (er the wifes photography studio) Best of luck Dave, if anyone can make it doing resto's its you, I might be in contact with you about a certain 66 nova that i've been thinking about getting done.... :-D

been traveling for work, so I have not been on here. Happy belated birthdays to the Shaw boys. Hope it was a good day.
Some random thoughts:
Oakland, CA is not a nice town for anybody wondering.
I went to a winery. The last person on earth who has any interest in a winery is me. It was a work thing. I am happy to report that activity has been crossed off my "to do" list.
CA traffic is unbelievably bad. How 7 lanes of traffic can be so bad is unfathomable to this rural MN dude. 1 hour and 40 minutes to go 26 miles.
Kobe beef is just beef. I didnt find it special in any way.
The CA climate is overrated. So many other things trump the climate that I wonder why so many people live there.
Is there deer hunting in heaven?
What you do today is important, you are trading a day in the rest of your life for it.
