I picked up this shotgun, pretty sure its an early one, maybe produced between 68-72. Blue scroll engraved receiver, 25" barrels choked SK and SK...my question is has anyone seen one of these that does not have any markings on the top of the barrels?? There is nothing on the barrels to indicate mfg., gauge..nothing. Appears to have an ivory front bead and a small silver mid bead. Does anyone know of a resource to check the S/N for more information?

FWI I did a little research and found it was made for another country and so the barrels were not rolled marked, Ron Sharp of Sharps Guns, Dunnville, Ont. Canada is a wealth of information about SKB shotguns.

These SKB SxS doubles are often "sleepers" on the used gun market--worth more than they cost. I don't like feel of the 12s much, but the 20s are well-balanced and don't break.

He should be - he was the plant manager for SKB for years - bought nearly all the parts/supplies when they closed and now he is THE source of everything SKB..

I've seen these SKB 200E 20ga at gun shows and as tempted to buy one as my first SXS. But not knowing how much they really should sell for...I hated to buy at gun sho price unless I kne what these should sell for. I did not ant a 12ga...a 20ga is good for walkabouts for me.

Couldn't agree more. Their 28" 20 is a pretty darn nice piece.
