Wondering what the purpose of the barrel bands on Win 88 cabines was compared to the normal versions without?
Why did the carbine need the barrel band? Seems to me that would be a lot of extra cost to have a special stock made just for the carbine model...

I think the barrel band is associated with carbines, so that's the way the made it.
