I may ditch work that day and get after them as well. If I don't skip the whole day, I may just get after them that afternoon. Good times. I just wish the closest place for me to go wasn't 1hr away... frown

First week of Sept here . They are already cutting the Hickory around my home.

A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

I bought a little H&R Sportster single shot, last spring. I put a 2-7x nikon prostaff on it. Been shooting CCI SV LRs through it. It's going hunting first day out, but I have my old Marlin 39A as a backup. grin

Squirrel season opens the 4th Saturday in August in Tennessee. I've loved hunting squirrels since I was a kid and intend to be in the woods with my Kimber Hunter .22 rifle.

i'm using those 2x7's on 3 rimfires, and they work pretty good for my eyes.

Noblesville or more appropriately, the mess that is the subdivision "forest" that surrounds Indy.

I've been up in your neck of the woods quite a bit lately for work. I was on a couple of properties that border the Tippecanoe south of the lakes 3 weeks ago. Definitely lots of oaks to keep the squirrels happy!

If I don't get out this week, I will be taking my 5yo to our cabin near Patoka Lake this weekend and give it a go. I can't decide if I made a mistake telling him about it. He's worse now than he is before Christmas.

Been busy all week, but I'm leaving in about 1 hr. for my 1st squirrel hunt of the season. Temp is in the low 50's, and no wind. Wish me luck and I will report back later.
