He was a really good dude. I am no longer at that particular spot but nobody is trapping it and I know the good bear spots. If you ever want to do some camping up in AK and chase some bears you let me know. The deer hunting gets real good there the more snow there is. I shot this freak there last year, I think it cross bred with a goat or something.





We shot these not too far away either.

Haha, either it tried breeding with a goat or a sheep, and there are no sheep in that area.

I am still dealing with losing my buddy. It's never easy and I never got a chance to say check ya later. He went out doing what he loved and while I was there all we talked about all winter was how to do that goat hunt. To be honest I was supposed to be on that hunt with them but I left before it happened. Part of me still believes that if I was there I could have kept them out of danger, as I had been up there before and neither one of them had been up there. Not a good feeling.

Totally off topic, but I picked up my second 223AI yesterday from Mickey. Rem 700, PT&D bolt with Kenworth shifter, Jewell 1.5 lb trigger, Douglas sporter 8 twist. I'm thinking V-Max's and TSX's.

I am in the middle. My boss that was with my buddy is on the left and my buddy is on the right. There is a funny story to this hunt. Anyone ever had a "click" moment?

Not quite. My buddy had a bead twice on good bucks but the guns weren't loaded. I gave him a lot of chit on the first one but after the second we never let him live it down. He still got a nice one though, lucky [bleep]. One was his own fault but the other was our buddies rifle that he grabbed in the moment. It was kind of hilarious the second time.

Still not drunk.
