I bought one of the 50mm CLs and it was fantastic. Had to look for a trade for a 42mm KX as the length of the scope vs. the objective size didn't clear the chambering bulge of the barrel. Otherwise, awesome scope. Yes, I could have bought taller rings, but I like low profile.

Maybe you looked through a bad example.

I've had both the Kahles 8x30s and 8x42s as well as Swaros, Zeiss, and Leica and the Kahles will run with any of them and the 8x42s I had were noticeably better than my Swaro SLCs. I am speaking of the Austrian glass, not the recent Japanese stuff.

Where can you buy them?

Have a few of the older AH, 3-9x42, 1" tube, TDS redicle scopes. Ocular end's a bit chubby, but overall great scope for the money.
