What's the difference between primaloft and thinsulate? I've been looking at a pair of boots with 200g of primaloft and was wondering how they compare with say another pair with 600 g of thinsulate.

That's a great link explaining the differences, Scott. Thanks. bookmarked.

Ploft is warmer per weight, but needs to fluff up more than Thinsulate. I've got Ploft gloves and a dress winter coat that are great--really good and better than my down stuff.
Thinsulate is what I would choose for boots, and for hunting clothing.
