Groundhog Day, with Bill Murray.

Democracy is not freedom. Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to eat for lunch. Freedom comes from the recognition of certain rights which may not be taken, not even by a 99% vote.

Night of the Lepus, mainly because it wasn't intended to be cheesy or the spoof on the genre that it turned out to be.

+1 on RED, that movie might as well feature my friends and me, as far as personalities go. and you couldn't have asked for a better mix of actors to do understated, downplayed violence. that film is an instant classic.

blazing saddles, whether cheese or not, is still in my top ten of all time.

post gun range cheese, would hafta go to rambo 4. nothing like getting home and smalling like gunpowder, popping that in the dvd player, tucking in a lip of backer, taking apart all my toys, and cleaning them, with a contented smile on my face, to the background of that level of mindless mayhem and cheese. a close second to that would naturally be shooter.

for midieval ass-whoopin' cheese, 13th warrior fills that niche.

and because i am one (of both), any movie that features a bitter, cynical, jaded, burned out cop, or a bitter, cynical, jaded, burned out soldier is gonna be a winner. something like the first die hard, or perhaps the general's daughter, although that last is a bit dark for standard cheese.

for all around awesome cheese, and currently holding most favored movie status, mr. and mrs. smith, which fits comedy, action, romance (cause pretty women with guns is both romantic and pornographic to me), and accurate in terms of how married life can feel at times.

I watched that when I was a lad....scared the living Christ out of me, mainly because I was young, from central Queensland and had never seen a rabbit.

I am downloading it now...thank you.
