Minus 13 here this morning. Received an email from my uncle in Tucson informing me that it was 80*. We might make it up to zero today.

We were showing -31.7 when I left home this morning. The man on the TV said we were at -36 though, he also said Warroad MN was at -40.

How the hell does he know? He's standing in front of a TV camera wayyyy down south, Fargo ND.

Here in the banana belt, it was -22. Prolly going to weed the garden today.

Stan, you need to visit MN in January to appreciate your weather!

I didn't even want to start the car this morning and it was only -12. I don't even want to feel -31, I'm getting too old for that. laugh

Talk about cold weather, over 50 years ago I worked in the woods in ( north mn.) got up one morning, went out to cut wood with ax and chainsaw,I slambed the ax into tree stump so i wouldnt loose it in the snow, the handle broke, couldnt understand why it was a new ax. Went to start chainsaw and I couldnt even pull the rope so I took the saw and went back to the shack.I had to walk a half mile each way to get where I was cutting. When I got in the shack I put saw by stove to warm up, after it warmed up awhile I could pull it over. Then I went outside and looked at thermometer, it showed -53 below

Holy cow dad, that is cold!!!!!

On days like this I am kicking myself in the butt for not having everything in the garage organized so I can park inside. Brrrrrrrr!

I've seen -43 when I was in MN. -38 is the coldest I've seen here - not that many years ago either.

I got softened up after last year where we never reached 0.

For some reason I think it was 96 Pam and I saw the thermometer flirting with that -50 range.

If I remember right we had a 2 week stretch where -20 seemed "warm".

Missy, what's the birth day for white bear's new dog?

He's already planning for the dog's 1st birthday party, but he needs a day to mark on the calendar.

I don't know what the coldest temps I've been out in but I can sure as heck say it wasn't anything in the -40 range. My butt would be inside trying to find more long johns to put on. grin
