The wife and daughter stood in line at Belts (Softserve) Saturday night in 18* temps. They brought the first Flurries of the season home. Sure did taste good.

They are saying 6" to 12" for us from now into tomorrow morning.

A 1 ton crew cab with a V plow would be just the ticket for that.

The sky is falling! The sky is falling! We were supposed to get 6-12" and so far all we have got is flurries. I get a little frustrated with all the hype about storms and then we get way less than predicted. I am convinced it is a ploy to get you to listen to the radio/watch TV more. All disquised under the public safey mantra. This really affects peoples plans. 2-3" of snow should not invoke a rush on milk and bread! eek

Also, I have noticed, if at first they predict the snow will start on say, Wednesday night, it gets moved back and back and back until it actually starts Friday morning. This one was at first supposed to start Sunday afternoon, then Sunday evening and our first flakes started falling Monday morning.

IMO it's meant to place more dependance on uncle sam. never before have I ever heard of them "naming" winter storms. we used to get a lot of snow and blizzards for 2 days or more without anymore than a "bad weather is coming, expect lots of snow and drifting, travel is not advised" and we survived just fine.

My neice is on her way down there from Warroad. I hope the roads hold out for her. Her 10 week old daughter has a hole in her heart and the doc's wanted to let her grow some before doing surgery. Last night she was taken by ambulance to Grand Forks and now is enroute to the cities via helicoptor. She has congestive heart failure. frown

She could use some prayers today.
