Also,no more getting up at 330am to be at work by 500am.
going to take this week "off", and try to get caught up on some projects. smile
Congrats on the new/old job. If you're off for a week, we should get together for coffee some day. I'm still off with this heart stuff, so I've got plenty of time.

Stan-

Headed west to Augusta. After this winter and leaving a bunch of snow I think I just might be in heaven. Actually saw real flowers and grass here. Evidently the talk of the second ice age was just rumor.

The Knoxville / Smokey Mountain area of TN is one place I could easily see myself living someday.

we can be neighbors. I'm thinking hard of moving that way when the time comes as well.

Yeah, kinda like Disney World. Even if you're not an amusement park type person, the landscaping is worth the time you spend there. Simply beautiful.

That surprises me Tzone! I had you pegged as a guy who would move west, not SE.

I aint movin'. But if I had to, it would be Montana, Wyoming or possibly Colorado.

Well, the west is apealling as well. But I want somewhere with no state income tax. Which leaves SD and NV. NV is just becasue. SD is not out and is considered in the running, but I'm looking for pretty damn warm in the winter. I will be buying land in MN or WI to have a "summer" place on. Probably WI because as much as I love MN....this state is screwed up!

I'm thinking Stan should change his handle to Stan in Paradise. I've hit all the lower 48 and this right here is top 5 for sure.

Of course, enduring over 11 feet of snow with record cold this winter might have something to do with it. It was sunny and 55* here last evening. The good folks who live here were wearing jackets. I considered just a Speedo. Probably have laws against pasty white overweight northern boys wearing such garments.

Those 3, western SD and maybe Oklahoma are very appealing. I've just been to east TN several times and really enjoyed it. Truth be told however, I don't know if you'll ever get me out of MN as screwed up politically as it is. It holds a lot of beauty as well when you get away from the liberal chit hole

I can't take it. I can come back and visit the beauty. I don't have to shovel sunshine.

In 1997 after 30 years of living in Atlanta I came home one day and announced to Mz. Linda that we were moving to Greenville, SC.
Three months later we were here. Been here 17 years now. Love it.
I retired in 2002. Three years later I was bored a wee bit and started helping out a couple of days a week in the local gun/pawn shop. I wish I had gotten into this business many years ago. I was a good project manager for 14 years but didn't enjoy it the way I do what I do now. The down side is...I buy too many firearms.

Charliefoxtrot, you are headed for the Master's golf course?

Stan in SC (Paradise)
