I'm staying home this year. Heading out on Prior Lake around 4 a.m. Gotta get off the lake by 9 unless you want to get buzzed by the skiers and jet skis. Starting out for walleyes but won't hesitate to move to crappies to put some fish in the boat.

I will also be at Ottertail at a friends house on the north side near the false river mouth or on Buchanan for panfish.

Prior Lake sounds like both Minnetonka and the St. Croix.

Cider vinegar is really good. For a lot of years I have been using rice wine vinegar as a salad dressing and I really like it. Nankato is the brand and they have several different mixes from mild to hot.

Can't get the Braggs ACV at any drug stores around here, a lady told me the pharmacies had to take it off the shelf. Now can only be found in larger grocery stores, and I don't have any of those close by, lol.

There's a ski club based on the lake-they'll be out in wet suits. Every year the Prior Lake paper runs a picture of the president of the clug skiing on Prior along the edge of the ice where it has pulled back from the shore.

I bought the Heinz all natural ACV. I'm assuming it's like the Braggs since it even has the floaties in it. sick I was telling the wife about the ACV thread on the main forum so she wanted to try it with me. She went first well I was getting ready for work. She came flying in the bathroom gagging and puking. I looked at her and said "well I guess I'm not doing that crap!" And since this is a family thread I won't repeat what her reply was. lol

Well anyway, I decided to try it and had the same results as her but I managed to keep more down than she did. That is some awful awful stuff.

mix with water and plug your nose to make it go down.
if it tastes that bad it HAS to be good for you

Well, if it makes you puke, I think maybe it's the wrong stuff or there is something wrong with it.

I've seen Big Jelly drink down some harsh fluids before and not throw up until the next day....

So, I think he got him some bad vinegar.

Hmmm I'd say it was a bad bottle then.

isn't vinegar just wine that has gone bad?

so bad vinegar must be REALLY bad. I've never seen it with chunks before....

Thats what we did and when you unplug your nose it hits you like a bag of hammers.

I don't think it was bad (as in spoiled) vinegar. I think its just plain azz nasty. A freind of ours said she started out gagging on it (Tee'd one up for ya Tzone smile )but it gets better with each day. We also might have over dosed for the first time. 2 heaping tablespoons / 8 oz of water.

My Dad has stomach issues most of his adult live. We'd shop at the local grocery store after our shift at work.

Anyway, he HATED the taste but it worked so well that he dumped two spoonfulls in his first cup of coffee every morning.

One night we were getting groceries & he said that he needed another jug of vinegar. As we walked down that aisle (I needed some for pickling) he eyed the apple cider vinegar.

Dad looked at it with much curiosity and turned to me.

"How does this stuff taste and work compared to regular vinegar?"

I couldn't resist. With all my power I proclaimed that it was very much like apple cider & nothing like vinegar but it would work just as well.

The stage was set. The rest of our 45 minute ride home all he could talk about was how excited he was to not have to drink that darn vinegar anymore.

We parted ways and I made sure to be at his place to wake him up for morning coffee.

He poured two cups and we each got one. Dad then went into the fridge & grabbed the ACV.

He opened the lid & tore off the safety tab. I could hardly contain myself but sat two quick steps from the door.
He tipped that jug back & chugged it like a homeless drunk with a new bottle of mothwash.

A volcano of ACV spewed from his lips as a firey gaze headed my way.

It was epic to say the least. He didn't see the humor with it.

Later he admitted that it was slightly better but still terrible.

There's the end of my longest interweb post ever.
