Listed on ebay are Air craft aluminum magazine latch or release buttons to replace the OEM plastic one that seems to be prone to breakage.

The aluminum should hold up much better for one usage. Once you get it installed,turn the rifle upside down, press the button and voila! the rifle will go "bombs away" thus relieving you of future embarrassment and rifle problems.
