Can anyone recommend a good gunsmith in Northeastern Wisconsin? Green Bay Area specifically. Thanks for your time! Redneck and Jkob, for sure. But, location isn't critical, IMHO. Find the smith that does what you need done and use UPS. It's not that expensive. Locale doesn't dictate my choice of a smith. I pick the one that I think will do the best job, then ship the project. Just saying. DF

I'm in western WI, 20 miles outside the Queens border..  Green Bay's about 5+ hours E of me.. There isn't anywhere in Wisconsin that's 5 hours from GB.

Randy Gregory at accuracy unlimited in Medford WI shouldn't be too far from you. He does great work. I'll second the vote for Randy Gregory. He is an excellent LR shooter at the national level and really knows how to put together an accurate rifle. His focus is precision competition rifles but the last time I was in his shop, there were a lot of hunting rifles being built and serviced.

I'm in western WI, 20 miles outside the Queens border.. Green Bay's about 5+ hours E of me.. There isn't anywhere in Wisconsin that's 5 hours from GB. BS - my GPS shows it to be 4 hrs, 35 mns. from here, and if the starting point was Superior - it'd be over 6 hours..

Does it have a max speed of 35mph? Is it taking you through Fargo to get to GB? I live in Manitowoc (30 minutes SE of GB) and can get to Superior in just over 4 hours.

20 miles from the MN border. Gee, I can drive over from Minneapolis to have the safety fixed on my Model 70!!
