Muffy: I havent checked into this thread in awhile, did you pursue the dog training? Yes I did. I just finished and sent in my last written graded exam. They have received it but it is not graded yet.
I am out of order until further notice. My "stupid people" filter needs cleaning and my "give a damn" batteries have run out.

My nephew was in town last Friday to help get his grandmother and grandfather (my parents) to some appointments . While they were at my house he pulled two gun cases from the back of his car and asked me to "pick one " He found two Rem 1100 sporting 28 gauges at Cabelas and GAVE me one of them . Yes he is my favorite nephew . Sorry about the poor gun porn pics I promise to practice ! The wood grain on this thing is incredible.

Thanks we are incredibly proud of him but his mother gets the credit for his raising . She passed in 06 just after he finished his MD resident . A few years later he married a MD so he gets to buy lots of toys.He really spoils his grandparents as well.

You know mule1,you are very lucky to have such a nephew and it is a tribute to your relationship to him to have obviously earned such a specisal place in his heart.Good going!

Very nice indeed. Does he need another uncle? Sloppy mess here this morning. Started raining Saturday and most of the day Sunday before turning to snow. We had a little over .5" of rain and 3" of snow. Makes for a wet heavy slush pile. Just got through snowblowing and the snow started up again.

i seen that critter along the edge of the road saturday dave. It almost looked like it had been hit when i was headed to the ice. didnt see him when i came off the lake. Looked for your ice shanty. didn't see it. I did see the old Spongebob Squarehouse though. i was out at south tip. Very slow fishing.
It is a silly fish that is caught twice with the same bait!

I plowed a rescue road to sponge bob square house and pulled him up to shore. Then we plowed a rescue road to our wheel house and moved it over to the sponge bob spot.
We didn't fish, just smashing snow around and moving houses.
This owl wasn't hurt, we watched him take flight and land several times. He was very focused on the road edges, there must be some mice or rabits coming out of that swamp/brushy area there.

Dave, do you have to have your ice castle off the ice by a certain date? Ice shacks have to be off the ice in Northern WI this coming weekend. Earlier in the South.

The feathers on an owl are so cool. I have always wondered, if you plucked them like a chicken what they would look like! I bet nothing like they do with their feathers. Not having ever touched one, I bet that head shape is all feathers. Anyone know?
