Local. We used to have a bunch around here but a sighting is very rare these days. I got excited just taking these pics! lol Also, those pics were taken with my cell phone off the road so me and wifey poo were pretty close to them. They were not scared in the least.

Turned off the heat a week ago. Almost shorts weather. The other part timer at the shop is already in shorts.
Turkey season opened here April 1st.Runs thru the thirtieth. I have four tags. I hope I get a chance to use at least one of them.

Beautiful day! Spent the day running around in the woods scouting for turkeys. I drew my first mn turkey tag. Found a clear cut, a big one, on state land that was logged this winter. Saw 2 dozen turkeys probably, 2 long beards, and no less than 75 deer. Probably hiked 2 miles or so in by the time I realized it. I'm beat!

Tzone just curious were you scouting up north??? Thinking you were cause of the logging... I dont turkey hunt, just wondering i keep on hearing about more and more turkeys up north...

I saw several turkeys last spring ,driving down hwy 200,about 200 yards south of leech lake.

Up by Hinkley. Not really up north unless you're from the Cities. I have seen a wild turkey as far north as Carleton, which is by Cloquet. It was picking grain/corn off the railroad tracks near Hwy 23.

I hope its a good un. Thanks, guys. Might be an expensive one. I've had my Ford dealer trying to find me a 14 Explorer equipped the way I want, not how the dealers like to load them up. Looks like he found one. Waiting to find out if the dealer that has it will do a dealer trade.
