did you have to drill for the Williams Sight?
My hunting buddy just came across a 44 mag that has a very loose buckhorn sight. That peep looks like it would be just the thing for a woods rig in New England.

Here's the long and short of my Marlin collection, 22" barrel 1894 .218 Bee and 16.25" barrel Model 336 Marauder .35 Rem.:

I have to say that when I'm going to do a lot of walking while hunting, I always grab the Marauder. Nice and short and light. Since the photo was taken, I removed the clunky looking front sling swivel base and replaced it with a nice sleek Uncle Mikes base. Somebody had already installed swivels before I got it and, although I wouldn't have done that, it makes the gun even more handy so I'm not losing any sleep over it. LOL.
