Fishing at the pond right now and its getting a bit warm.
He's just sitting by the shore watching and staying cool.

Oh, and he carried the tackle bag to and from the truck.

Had bags in my hands and tried to take a pic of Trap helping us carry groceries in.
Finger got in the way.

Went and put my blind in today.
Should do well in this spot.

Looks awesome Mark. How's that new structure that they built at the beginning of the summer looking? Is it going to be huntable this year?

No hunting it this year. It's all finished and seedlings planted.
They put one of the ponds just below the road. Seems pretty stupid to me.
Im not too sure I'll hunt it. I have too many places all to myself on private land.

Hey John, here's a few pics of what it looks like.

Tomorrow is opening day of early goose here.
Been out of town for several days, during all this rain and was wondering how my blind was doing since the river is way up.
Went by today after work and high and dry!

Saw no geese on the water, but heard some come in and land in the fields.
Heading to my truck I heard some geese coming up river, turned around and saw a flock of 6 fly right in front of the blind, turned, and landed with the others in a field next to where my truck was parked.
The landowner was coming down to visit and another flock came in.
He said they have been in that field every day for over a week!
We parted and when I got to my truck another flock flew in right over me.
Got video on my phone.
I know where Im setting up in the morning!
Had to be over 60 geese out there.

Ed said it was just fine to set up in that field.

Had a great opening morning. Had 2 come into the decoys, got a double, then a flock of about 20, locked up, and took my 3rd. Was done by 8:30!

Trap and I are up and heading back to the fields for day 2.
Rain is expected, and I am seeing lightning flashes and can hear thunder to the south.

Thanks for the pics of that new structure. Sorry I didn't get back to ya sooner, I've been busy as hell with this move and PC access is limited at best.

It's great seeing a guy like you devoting time to let his dog do what he is meant to do.

It's his whole purpose in life and he'd prefer nothing else. Most guys don't have the time. He's lucky to have you as his handler.

This is the whole reason I got him. So glad he turned out the way he has.
We is goin in the morning again. Ill figure out how I posted videos before and record how happy he is retrieving. Tail a waggin and the look on his face is priceless.
