Tom,Thank you for asking. We are doing fine. The snow we get is the self shoveling kind with the help of the sun.As of today most of it is gone. We had no inconvenience at all. In fact I went to work Thursday.

He sure is milking that beer. Must be either really good or really bad. Almost 2 hours now....

Taint bad.
I finally got a chance to spin off a cap and sip one, taste it and such. Wish I had a glass out here in the fish house to pour one into. From the bottle, I guess not bad. Need more to be sure.

what's it comparable to?
I opened the fridge last night and found a grainbelt that was in the door behind the ketchup. no idea how it got put there, nice little surprise, figured I'd save it for this afternoon when I'm canning more venison.

Hey Tom-any interest in going to the gun show in Mpls. on Sunday? Can't do er, I'll be up in Wis-conny on Sunday. Which gun shop is closing? Not Gun Stop, I hope. Sports Stop on Lewis St.

'Been shopping E Bay pretty hard for fishing gear for my buddy down in Ohio that lost all his stuff in the house fire. Picked up a pristine Ambassadeur baitcaster for $23.50 including shipping. It's one of the newer, smaller ones, but it will be fine for a replacement. 'Hoping to get one more baitcaster, one spincast outfit, and possibly some spinning gear.

Gopher,
I've not heard of that one. It sounds like a good shop though from what you're saying. Too bad they're closing shop, we need as many good ones as we can.
Check out the "low profile" bait casters if he's a bass fisherman.

I had a Campfire Encounter today. I had the pleasure of meeting our one and only Fuffy. He stopped by at work to say "hi" and we talked guns and hunting for a few minutes. As usualy another top-shelf guy from here at the 'Fire. 'Hope we get a chance to share a pot of coffee over a campfire sometime in the near future.

Check out the "low profile" bait casters if he's a bass fisherman. Don't get me wrong he's got his fare share of junk in there, but he does have some very interesting used guns too. If you go in, always dicker with him, as the "tag" prices are pretty relative-throw him a decent price and he'll play ball with you.

I have my mom's 5000. It's got to be at least 30 years old. I fished it hard for several years when I got the miss-guided notion that I could be competitive as a professional bass angler. I have never replaced a single part in that reel, and it's as smooth as the day it was bought. They make a darned good reel.

Been a long time since I've used an Abu. I have a bunch of diawa's. Mostly sealine 27's and 47's for trolling rod set ups.

used a baitcaster back when I was in the Navy for shark fishing, used them short "boat" rods and fished from a kayak. had a bunch of fun, caught some nice sharks, wouldn't let my kids do it if they asked. other than that, never had much use for a baitcaster, I prefer spinning reels myself. to each their own

I finally found some of the Copper Lage from Busch. The carry out about a mile from the house has 24 ouncers since yesterday. I drank one while chasing cows in a blizzard a little bit ago. Not bad stuff. I know that if you drink a 24 oz and 4 Busch Lites it can be hard to type a post without doing a lot of editing. Bill
