Ryan, the recipe for a crock pot meat loaf is the same as any other venison meat loaf. Bread crumbs, bell pepper, onion, mushrooms. The only difference is the manner of cooking it.
It tastes about the same as if done in an oven but has a wee bit different texture. I like it done both ways.
I found out this year how much better antelope tastes than venison when a friend brought me both antelope steaks and ground.
As much as I like venison I never thought I would find something that tastes better. But I did.

Thanks Stan! Antelope is amazing! The wife and kids even loved it! It all depends on how you treat them after the kill. We butchered ours in fhe field without even opening the gut sack, packed the meat in game bags and hauled them out on pack frames to a cooler full of ice in the truck. That meat is the best I've had. Elk is very good but a properly handled antelope is some of the very best eating you will ever get.

I was bowhunting mule deer in the ND badlands one year and we met this vehicle over and over again that had one of them receiver hitch game carriers on the back. He had an antelope in full skin on there when we first seen him in the morning and it was still on there at 5:00 pm that night. It was 90 some degrees out and the antelope was covered in the red scoria dust from driving around all day. That speed goat must have had maggots in it by the time he took it off that carrier. ICK

Same here, Jim. Not raining now, but the winds are strong. Good thing the trees aren't leafed out yet or there would be trees/limbs down.

Same thing here Bill. Get this crap out of the way this week. I'll be there next weekend with the monsters chasing our own birds. This will be different... I'll have to keep two kids from moving around and getting antsy. We'll see how it works out I guess.

Congrats again on the bird Big Jelly. The boy has all season to track one down, so wait for a better weekend. this weekend or the next, they'll be out gobbling their heads off. Then, hopefully you can take their head off. grin

Ray,
That was pretty original! As crummy as the weather is, I am not going to complain. It isnt tornados or floods or hurricanes or forest fires or mudslides or any of a number of things.

Brought the boys crappie fishing on Sat night. Everybody got cold and we decided to head home. That is when they started biting. A friend caught 22 slabs in 45 minutes until it was too cold for even him. Oh well, another day we will get them.

yes you do.

I'm at the very southern edge of the hills, higher elevations could have seen snow, weather.com said we got .1" of snow last night, but that coulda been higher up. saw a few Toms strutting around at work today, they better stay off the road sides if they want to survive. road hunting is legal out here for them!
Bought my tags this morning, should be here in a couple days, looking forward to hunting with a friend I grew up with, he'll be here friday.

Out of the blue my son says to me this morning " hey dad, guess what I found at grandpa and grandma's? I'll give you a hint, it's made of bone and is a deers face"

made me chuckle smile

So I signed up for a PB account. Is it normal to take a VERY long time to upload pics? I have 52 pics in the folder on my computer and its been uploading them for over an hour and it's only half done.

Never mind. I found the How to post pics sticky in the photography forum and I see that I didn't click the right thing in PB.
