Barry arent you one that posted too, handing ammo or pencils with your gloved hand? Care to expound, I asked above someone else the same.
Once my support arm is set in place, the last thing I want is to move it to grab ammo, adjust sights, mark a data book or such? Jeff, I'm getting back in to coaching juniors (10M Sporter Air and 10M Precision Air). In the process I've had to get myself updated on current equipment, procedures and techniques. In the standing position, a fingerless glove is the norm. About 2/3 of the shooters will load with the gloved hand, hence the fingerless. This allows the trigger hand to remain on the grip and allows the butt to stay in place in the shoulder easily. This is of course all done with the rifle on a stand between shots, so it wouldn't be applicable to Highpower but absolutely applicable for the OP if he is choosing to use a rifle stand.

Nice to see you post. I had not at all thought about the smallbore offhand stand thing... probably exactly correct. No correlation to HP at all.

I load with my trigger hand for all positions.
"wouldn't be applicable to Highpower but absolutely applicable for the OP if he is choosing to use a rifle stand."
No one at our club uses any sort of stand to hold their rifle between shots. A couple of members use a stand to hold a spotting scope and their cartridge block, but not the rifle. I assumed any artificial rifle support during the time allotted for firing for score was not allowed, but I haven't researched it.

I use a very old Tennex glove when shotting position rifle - 35 years old IIRC, but my son uses an Anschutz and likes it. It's a bit too restrictive fr me however, very stiff. Cat

No, it's not permanent, as long as you don't stick them together within a half hour or so of spraying them. I've been using it for 2 years with no problem. It works very much like Hawkeye or that Pine-Sol smelling stuff (Firm Grip maybe?), but doesn't seem to be as messy as those two.
