Nice shooting Pat, as usual.

Mark, I think those are made by Mountain Plains:

Pat,
Any idea if they have improved the BC's on the 308/155 Scenar L?

I asked the same question when I visited Lapua's booth at the SHOT Show. I was told they improved the tolerances, but the design was pretty much the same....don't know how they can make that 155 much better. It's one of the most accurate bullets I've ever shot in any .30 caliber rifle.

Luck....is the residue of design...

Pat,
I agree completely, it is truly a bullet that does it ALL! Thanks for the education!

This GAP Crusader .260.

Nice!

Im running the 136g Hoover VLD at 29something out of my 6.5x47.
But thats with a 28 inch Bartlien.
In the beginning I felt the 6.5x47 was like trying to put 10 pounds of poop in a 5 pound bag.
But after you get to loading it awhile.
It gains your respect pretty quickley.
I always kinda felt the 123 and 130g bullets were a bit light.
And that the 140 and 142g bullets were a bit much for the 47.
The 136 IMHO is just right.
This will just give me another option.
If I can ever get any.

I am surprised that they don't make something in the 7mm. I to would like a .277 but am not holding my breathe for a foreign company making target bullets to start with the .277 caliber. I am surpirsed thta they overlook the 7mms though.

For those that didn't buy one of these targets, this "coyote" is about the size of a big fox.

That is good news, I placed an order for a 1000 155's last month and they shipped yesterday.

So, does this bullet put the Creed out of business?

Only reason I can come up with for the Creed is its ability to load a 140 in a SA. And even then it needs a longer barrel and higher pressures.

Pat, what is your buddy running to get that kind of speed?

We all use pretty much the same load. Varget has worked really good for us with the 155's. His comp rifle has a 27" Krieger on it.

Nice shooting! That looks to be a smoker of a bullet. Makes me want a 260 even more....

I'll try to stop in next week when I am in town... Waiting for the loooong range pics and report.
