I got one of the "sticker" versions at the NRA convention in New Orleans sometime in the mid-80's. I think it was at the Petersen Publishing exhibit. Pretty interesting from an authentication standpoint.

You stole it. I paid more than that ten years ago for an unsigned copy.

I just finished my copy for about the hundredth time, and I learn something new each time. I made a pilgrimage of sorts to Salmon about 10 years ago, and there were still people in town who had known him. They remembered his hat, sixgun, and cigar. He would walk to the post office most every day to mail books out to readers. He visited the local cafe (which is now a chinese restaurant) every morning, arriving about 4:00 a.m. He would drink a pot of tea, have some oatmeal, read the paper and talk to the other old-timers that hung out there. Then he'd go home, write for a couple hours, and head for the range. I visited his house, though no one was home, and took a picture of his grave. I also visited North Fork, and drove down the Forest Service Road next to the Salmon River to where the Middle Fork joins it. My favorite spot on Earth; gorgeous country.

Pretty sure that's Rick's responsibility.

Nope, it's Shrapnel's. He has to delete some of his pm's.
