Jerry, thanks for your input. Who was your Max barrel made by?

Rocky, thanks for the offer. It sounds like a great deal, but it just isn't what I am looking for. I wish you the best with your liquidation.

Jeff,

Was a factory TC 10 inch barrel

"I've read what Belm says about the TC barrels,..but the .357 MAX TC barrels work."

Yes I read Bellm's claims and I have to wonder if it is marketing... just wondering as I have never shot one.

So you're saying the TC barrel was good to go. That is good to know.

Thanks.

Jeff,

The quote is Bristoes. As far as My 357 max, like I mentioned earlier it was around 25 years ago, I don't remember how it shot, but the fact that I kept it the longest and it was my favorite means it shot good, as I am somewhat of an accuracy snob, if it doesn't shoot to my expectations and I can not remedy that... it is gone.

Bellm like most smiths can put more effort into the gun than any factory (except outfits like Freedom Arms for instance), and he has done a lot of work with TC's and has focused a lot of his energy on the 357 max., so it is possible he has figured out how to make it perform better than the standard chamber. On the other hand Smiths are like anybody else and they need to pump their work.

Jerry

Whatever you do bookmark this thread and post a picture of the route and the results (accuracy and hunting) once you are done.
