The new Mauser M12, I think Mauser is on to something good here.

The 9.3x62, I really hope they import this cartridge. I'm a buyer if they do.

Likes, weight of rifle, holds 5 standard, trigger, all steel construction, design looks good, interesting bolt design.

That website is not easy to read.

I see no mention of control round feeding.

There is little for me to like on that rifle besides the three position safety and the name "Mauser"

To add that I searched for a picture of it's bolt face and could not find one.

How much are they in dollars?

Yeah that is a nice looking rifle. Mauser kicks out a quality product, if you're smart enough to know that CRF isn't necessary when chasing non-dangerous game (no I don't toggle but that is Sav99's one trick pony so I don't have to ignore my ignore function to know the retardation he spews).

I have been absolutely ecstatic over my M96 American but was very sad when Sig bought Mauser and that model was discontinued. Mine is in '06 and locks up in the barrel like this new model. Extraordinarily accurate.

Nice looking rifle. I see the LOP is 14 1/4, which will definitely make it non-ideal for me.

Very nice, I could see myself with one in 6.5 x 55 or 8 x 57 if they should ever come in to the US. The one thing about the German, they know how to put a hunting rifle together.

Don't hold me to it, but another site is reporting 1500 -1800 for plastic and wood respectively. Seems like a pretty good spread to me. Jack

I am thinking about this one as well. I already have a 9.3 in a CZ 550, but it is a right hand shooter and I shoot left handed. An M12 "Extreme" in a LH model in 9.3 with a 56mm illuminated scope would be nice. I am here in Deutschland with the US military and I can get it tax free, (-19%) off of retail. I might have to "pull the trigger" on that one. lol.

Why, you do not listen and you sure as heck do not seem to be able to learn.

From the Mauser website, re the Mauser 12:

*Short 60 bolt lift (sounds like 3-lug push-feed to me).

*Direct locking in the barrel via 6 large locking lugs and double ejector for strong ejection. (Pretty much rules out a M-98 style)

*3-position safety (ala Winchester Model 70), which directly acts on the firing pin.

*Excellent direct trigger with approx. 2 lb** trigger pull for accurate shooting (Me likey)

*Classic, straight stock shape with Prince of Wales pistol grip, fine, split checkering and exquisite scalloping on the stock around the receiver. (Veddy Nice, indeed)

*Detachable magazine staggers the cartridges for maximum capacity; Mauser crest adorns the steel floor plate. (I like the flush fit)

I'd love to have one in 7x57, myself................Heck, I even liked the Stag-handled Mauser hunting knife, shown in the video. laugh
