This is a nicely done Japan Arisaka that was converted to 300 Savage, The blueing is really nice, I refinised the stock and the only blemish was on the leftside of buttstock a burr you could say in the wood filled with wood filler and polished smooth with the rest of the gun. It has Williams rear sights. I have shot the gun and hit a log repeatly at about 40 yards (pretty good for my bad eyes). Everything functions but must say I hate the safety on these guns $250.00 shipped from my FFL to Yours

My Dad showed me something about these actions, and I think you should know.

The one I had would fire if the trigger was pushed forward in addition to firing when pulled.

He said it was so the Japanese soldiers could commit Hara-Kiri if they didn't have a sword handy.

It's not a problem as long as proper gun safety is observed (always followed anyway) and it was a nice rifle.
