Kilt 3 pigs with one shot 3 times, none were leetle. 'Course I was using buckshot but most the carnage was from pass thrus, not pattern.

'Cause I don't have an ATN, when the light gets poor I rely on a red dot, or if Oh-black-30, buckshot. Works overtime if you let it. No pics, this was before digital cameras and the inna-net and chitt.

Hafta agree with that mostly. SS bolts are preferred by the BR crowd and we all know what a bunch of anal retentive yokels they can be. SS in general remain popular at many levels and have been thru history.

If any endeavor with SS platforms is silly its gotta be CQ pig stickin' with CB shorts. I only know one loon that does that chitt.

On the other hand, being able to reload a SS quickly is an acquired skill and gives the lie to alleged handicaps. Walked into a herd of pigs up in Georgia one afternoon with a H&R Topper .410. One in the pipe, 4 betwixt the fingers, all Forster style slugs. One standing, two running, the last splattering blood on my jeans, and I had, as they say, shot my wad. Dunno how long that took, but it was fair quick and a lot of bolt guns don't hold 5 shells.

Just sayin'.....

I'll dance with the devil, but I always bring my own music.

BD,

We don' need no stinkin' pictures"

every swinging dick on this fourm knows that sometimes you will elucidate, but never prevaricate or exaggerate, unlike a good friend of mine from Ireland who's motto is " a lie well told will serve as good as the truth any day.

If you said you killed 13 pigs with 13 pellet load, sounds like gospel to me. LOL

I'm thinking a rifled barrel +/- 26, 3" Chamber, iron sights. I'll probably strip the finish and refinish with tru-oil. Should be just right for pokin' Texas porkers at 75 yds. or so.

Best,

GWB

Some people. We all just got laid off today. But we're all getting called back, except for one guy laugh

Got a call from the PD Sunday morning.

"Sir, your ex-wife called and said she is supposed to pick the kids up for Mother's Day."

"Correct"

"She says she is afraid to come to your house and wants you to meet her down here."

"I don't care."

"Is this something you'd be willing to accomodate her with this morning."

"No."

"She says she doesn't want to come to your residence."

"Then tell her to get a divorce decree that states I have to meet her somewhere, or to file for a restraining order. I don't alter my Sunday mornings because of people's imaginations"

"Thanks sir. We'll let her know."

Dave

I have to admit that Martinis are pretty neat. I could suffer an 1874 Sharps or Rolling Block as well.

Of all the old dog teachers, I had the highest hope for you.
Alas, I were wrong.

You really can't teach an old dog.

Right bore dims and you can do that reliably with Forster slugs. Really. I ain't got enough digits to count the pigs whacked with an Ithaca 37 20 bore so fed. Did 'em anywhere from 30 to 70ish yards a few decades back, this before I learned to move like mist in the morning. The gun preferred the modified choke for all endeavors, birds thru and including Hogzilla.

'Slave, I wanna 'spand your horizons a bit. First off, I know people and critters aren't built the same, but that doesn't mean I can't respect the critters. Example being otters chittin' crab shells....I gotta respect that.

Now here ya go. The bugs in this vid on my windshield are called...drum roll....Love Bugs. They are a gift from the University of Florida School of Entomology. Azzholes. This time of year they can turn the front of your car black and their juice is corrosive to paint and metal.

With that said, you will see little splatters around the two lovers. Those are what they look like following a 50-60 mph impact. Last thing goes thru their mind is their azzhole.

I digress. In the vid that follows you will see a larger specimen clinging, even walking across my windshield. That's the female. The one flapping in the breeze at her 6 is the male. What ties them together is his crank.

I gotta respect that level of determination, if not the fortitude displayed.
