I am sure you can find them cheaper somewhere but I wanted a new firearm and I wanted to support my local gun shop.

If you have to take a second shot then you probably shouldn't have taken the first shot.

Wednesday is my usual day at my gun club. I took the Baikal with the new mount installed to re-sight it. My goal was two inches high of the bull at 100 yards.
After eyeball bore sighting the rifle I started out at 25 yards with good results and then moved to 50 yards which required one minor adjustment.
Final three shots were exactly where I wanted them at 100 yards.
I am very very satisfied with this combo gun and the way I have it set up. Now I gotta wait till deer season to try it out.

I have 2 of these guns, 1 is a 223 under a 12ga. that was sold for a time by Remington as a SPR94 but is still stamped IZH94 on the side.
The other is a new 308-12ga.

The rubber recoil pads on these guns are harder than the wood that they are screwed to so I have fitted both of mine with decelerator's.

I tinkered around for quite some time trying to find a scope that worked properly with the right eye relief. A rifle scope has too short an eye relief and a handgun scope too long an eye relief. I found the perfect scope for me is the Leupold fxII 2.5x SCOUT.

The reason I have 2 is because I bought the 223 several years ago and loved it, when I found the 308 version last year my plan was to sell the 223. after spending time with the 308 I found the rifle part shot very well BUT............ the rifle and shotgun have no where close to the same point of impact at 50 yards. might be selling the 308 unless I can find a solution, but I am keeping the 223 one way or the other it is great for coyote calling.

I have tried many different shotgun loads and found #4 buck is the biggest shot that will pattern properly.

For anyone who might have an itch that needs scratching, there was an IZH-94 in 6.5x55 on GB yesterday, 05/18/13.

Arn't the barrels adjustable for point of impact? I haven't handled one but my AA looks like it is set up the same. The center of the barrel where the sling swivel attaches does the elevation and the front conection on the end of the barrel does the windage.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

They are and can be regulated perfectly. REMEMBER...any small change at the muzzle or wedge causes a lot of POI movement.
