I have not tried the .338 275 gr but shoot the woodleigh 300 gr .338" with a max load of 63.0 gr IMR 4350 at 2350ft/sec. Woodleigh lists 64 gr H4350 at 2450ft/sec. I found primers looked just a little flat i.e. the shoulder of the primer was ever so slightly altered. My shoulder confirmed that was hot enough. An old tang safety Ruger 77 my wife bought used for me in 1986 for $175. It was my go too rifle for years and still shoots like it is hard wired to my brain. I have never recovered a bullet from game. I also have not shot the load since buying my 375H&H
