Anything goes. Just like to see other people's stuff; what it looks like where they are and whatnot.

These are all crappy random phone pics from the past week or two. I often see something that grabs my eye, and take a pic, for no reason other than I thought it was an interesting image. I know, many or most people will just see nothing. And that's plenty OK. wink

Hang some up, any who'd care to.

Thursday in the Carolina's twin-city; half dozen or so folks already lined up at the Methadone clinic at 9am for a 10am opening.

Some in their jammies, in the rain.

Been a banner year for paper wasps around here..

Polistes apachus I believe, alert but docile till messed with.

[Linked Image]

Polistes fuscatus I think, not too concerned with people.

[Linked Image]

Polistes carolina,..THE SPAWN OF SATAN HIMSELF. I Hate these SOB's. These are always the meanest wasps I come across and have an extremely short fuse. Nasty buggers...almost got stung taking this pic.

kamo_gari,

I haven't taken these, but I hope that it is OK if post a few pictures taken by others.

I don't like big cities, but I have to admit that Stockholm is not bad as cities go - and I thought that perhaps a few on the 'Fire might like to see what it is like.

Stockholm is built on 14 islands, so of course that makes for a lot of shoreline.

Swedes are pretty fanatical about water quality so not only is the water safe to swim in, but it even passes drinking water standards sometimes.

Here, you see people fishing for salmon during their lunch hours, but the catching is slow by North American standards.

A nice shot of some of the waterfront:

Below is the ship the av Chapman. It is a sailing ship built in 1888 and is now a hostel. When my father and I visited Stockholm a few years ago, he was expecting us to stay in a fancy hotel, but I had booked the Captain's cabin for us - it was much more memorable! The ship still floats, so when large ships passed by, their wake rocked us gently in our beds. smile

Oh, I should add that women can swim or sunbathe topless, but I can't post such pictures on this website. wink

Best of the evening (er, afternoon) to you, Leighton.

A great way to camp.Load all the gear on pontoon boat, 2miles to the back of the lake, where there are no roads, and enjoy the week!
