Here's a follow up to my previous post to this thread that shows some real-world performance. I couldn't possible be happier with my ULA .260. Well, I do dig the maple leaf camo, but other than that mine's perfect. Need to find a deal on a used .280, a 30-06, .350 Rem Mag. And .300 Win and I'll have a good start on a collection. grin

For those who asked about the Colt hybrids, I have a 257 WBY Colt/NULA Hybrid with:
24" Douglas SS #2
14" LOP Stock
Total rifle weight: 6lbs .02oz
Stock: 1lb 10oz
Rifle, rings and Minox 3-15x42: 7lbs 1oz

My first 3 shot group with factory Weatherby 100gr TSX ammo looked just like Eric's. Cant say enough good things about these rifles. If you cant afford the real thing, the hybrid is not bad

The wait time was 5 months. The rifle loves 100 grain TSX. Thanks for looking!

I'm looking to place an order for a NULA 20 in 22lr. Looking at the NULA order form it asks for "stock color" I'm seeing lots variety from the various pics on the forum but the stock color options aren't detailed on Melvin's website.

I'm thinking of going with a basic solid color for this 22lr so I guess I just put "green or "brown" like the ones showed in this thread? Not sure what else to call them.
Thanks

The pic of the striped rifle immediately above is "woodland" camo. If you don't specify wide stripes you'll get a thinner version which you'll see earlier in this thread. All a matter of personal preference.

They do another version of this called desert which has more browns/tans.

The 30-06 I just sold was green with black and tan flecks and was called "Jungle".

There are a lot of variants. If you see something you like you can describe it to Melvin over the phone or else print a photo and mail it to him saying that's what you want.

Thanks Eric. The stock color on your 30-06 is what I was looking for. Jungle it is!

You can tell Melvin what you want, but he will ask for a picture. He doesn't paint the stocks. Sooooo, without a pic Melvin has to interpret what you tell him. Then he tells the painter who has to interpret what Melvin is saying. I can tell you fall Maple tree leaf blood red has a different meanings to three different people.

Be safe, give him a pic if you are all that particular.

Nula's are sweet. That being said my .260 is about to go up for sale again. Had fair offers last time just couldn't let it go. Find myself shooting out of a treestand more and more and with a move from hunting alpine blacktail to southern whitetail land in the near future, someone else needs to enjoy it. Good luck with your purchase, great rifles and Mr. Forbes is a nice man to deal with.

That may be the best looking NULA I've ever seen. They just never have appealed to me, but that rifle... Man for some reason I really dig the looks/lines of it. And heck who can argue with that target... Very nice!
