Anybody know how rare a caliber this is? Rifle made in 1915. Appreciate any inputs. jorge

There used to be a fair number of these old rifles in .303 Brit. and also .30-50 US Army, in the Kootenays, when I was young. Many of the real "old timers" liked them as they had more power than the .30-30 class of rifles and also tended to be a bit more accurate.
A nice one now is fairly valuable, but, these are quite rare as most were used hard and long and now are pretty "beat".
A decent, shootable one will sell for about a grand here, +/- and a really choice one for considerably more. Some 40 years ago, at a local gunshow in the armoury/HQ of "The Seaforth Highlanders of Canada", in Vancouver, I turned down a MINT and complete "SRC" Mod. 95 in .303 and have regretted that ever since! The prices was $150.00 CDN........
Well, hindsight, eh!

Nice ones are really uncommon; as kutenay says, these were "using" guns and they tend to have been pretty well used up.
Any really good condition one should be worth at least twice what you can get a new Miroku-Blowning "Winchester" for. But you'll have to find the right collector.
The ones that a REALLY valuable are those marked by a famous English re-seller like "Army and Navy Stores," or Holland and Holland. Not many were resold and they went to some pretty hostile--to everything including guns--parts of the Empire. Few returned.
Was Mike Armstrong. Got logged off; couldn't log back on. RE-registered my old call sign, Mesa. FNG. Again. Mike Armstrong

Thanks guys. I posted a thread when I first got it and now someone wants to buy it for 1500 bucks which is 500 more than I have in it.
