Two sides to the state. East and West of the continental divide. The bad weather is on the east side. Us west slopers are OK.

Mostly steady rain for the past couple days, sometimes very hard. There were flash flood warnings on the west side of town, but not where I live.

and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? (Micah 6:8)

Where are you at? I'm going elk hunting north of hayden in a couple days and am wondering what kind of weather they've been having.

I'm in Windsor which is near Ft Collins and we had a couple of calls at the fire dept for flooded basements last night but the heavier rain was south of us.

Wow, me too! I started going out there in 1988. We usually camp on Hahns Peak road on the north edge of California Park. It went to a draw unit but we can usually draw every other year, so it ain't too bad.

Maybe I've run into you out there. Small world.

You guys the horse camp at the intersection?

I run just north of ya in Slater Park, and take 1147 in. Except for the last 3 years I've been stuck on the prairie, I been in about every year since '78. The usfs hired us to run a pack station the year they closed the roads and the pissed off hunters burned down the slater creek bridge.

Taglarry, the woods should be quiet for you now. Last weekend the Grand Mesa was all crunchy dry.

Nope, we don't have horses or quads. We usually are in a wall tent in a small camp.We sometimes hunt over by Slater on Sawtooth which is across the road and a little west of Columbus. I like to stick to the Diamond area usually though. I take a mountain bike back in on the closed logging road...42 I think.

My brother usually drives so look for Iowa plates
