How about flush- mounted mags like a Cooper? That bump on the bottom is the worst feature to my eyes.
What fresh Hell is this?

Just got my T3 lefty in .223. What an awesome rifle. I haven't touched it, except to mount a Meopta scope in Warne rings. It's shooting factory Win Power Point 64 grain as well as Barnes 55 grain TSX into 3/4". No need for bedding. I'll be adding an aluminum triggerguard and bolt shroud to replace the factory plastic and have Karl do his bolt fluting. Might have to add a Campfire knob as well. Maybe a paint-job, too. This will be a fun project. Bob

Nice looking rifle RGK. How do you like the Meopta glass? Thanks! I love the Meopta stuff. Bright and clear, with a slightly heavier duplex than Leupold. About like the American-assembled Zeiss Conquests. This one (3.5-10x44mm) was on sale at CameraLand for $299.00 shipped. Great deal. Bob

Figured time to kick this back to the top. Still need to get it scoped but here it is so far. Superlite 7MM-08 in a Hunters Edge stock, really like it so far. 5 lbs 10 ozs.

Not yet but I will. Seems to have some stress in the bottom metal when I tighten everything up, the mag release & mag stick a bit.

Does anybody know if the CTR and Varmint barrel profiles are the same?
Just shorter for the CTR?

Nice Frank. I can dig that one. The Mcmillan stock comes with a steel lug, doesn't it?

Which stock maker has the highest comb for a Tikka T3?? (I usually have trouble with cheek weld on rifles.)
But, also comes with a recoil lug for it.
The Bell & Carlson, seems to have a high comb. Perhaps highter then the McMillan Edge as well.
What about Hightech stocks?

Oregon: is it possbile to see a photo with the bolt full open?
I am really torn between the McMillan Edge, and a Bell & Carlson, due to its drop of comb.

Another 10x SS on a Tikka.... Sniper Grey with Sniper Green Cerakote.... Dogshooter, I saw that you have no more 700s. Have you replaced them all with Tikkas? I should probably try one some day to see what all the fuss is about... John

Hell, the one pictured ain't even mine..... that'n is Em's. Ive got a Montana and a couple RARs in the kitty too..... but no more 700s.
Even though there are no 700 actions around..... it looks like King Kong ate a half-dozen Remingtons.... then took a schitt on my workbench. There's Rem 700 mag boxes and bottom metal and followers and scope bases and stocks and action screws over the freaking place.
You better pray to the God of Skinny Punks that this wind doesn't pick up......

Tikkaperformance has T3 OEM BM listed on their site. https://tikkaperformance.com/tikka-t3-bottom-metal. Not sure I like the aesthetics of the enlarged trigger guard.

I should have just bought a [bleep] T3...
