I just got a Weatherby Lazerguard in 300 Wby Mag for elk. It is just a Weatherby Vanguard with AAA grade wood and the lazer engraving like the lazermark has, that Weatherby makes for Cabelas. Pretty nice looking rifle. Your rifle is amazing, OP!
Big Vanguard fan here. Been drooling over Cabela's Lazerguards for awhile. Have several Vanguards including a Deluxe that all shoot well and some V2s. For around four bills or less used they are the best deal running.
Back to the original point- I really want a Lazerguard as opposed to the Mark V Deluxe for about 1/2 the price and the same strength/accuracy as far as I can tell.
I recently bought a Vanguard Deluxe 7mmRM off a member here and it wound up in a friend's hands. He loves it and cherishes it and is afraid to hunt with it despite the price of a 20-year old rifle being less than that of today's new rifle prices.
It's about like this:

Good looking rifle, and GREAT choice of cartridge.
My Vanguard .300 Weatherby likes 168 gr TSX bullets, and it REALLY likes 168 gr TTSX bullets.

WOW! Until three minutes ago I had no idea that Weatherby even MADE a Lazer stocked Vanguard! I like it, and a LOT! Now, if they would do that one up in 257WBY and put the 26 inch barrel on it instead of the 24, I really, truly might buy one.
Congratulations on the rifle and the excellent caliber as well.
Do you mind if I ask how much these Lazerguards are costing?

Don't tell me it froze that hard. Pulasky don't know [bleep] about stuff. 34F was all the colder it got. A little bit of frost on the pickup window this morning but shouldn't have hurt anything.
